Brian Collie
Founder, Chief Executive Officer and DirectorBrian Collie serves on SeaWell’s Board of Directors and is the Founder and CEO, responsible for SeaWell’s overall management and strategic direction of the company, as well as business development and partnership activities.
He is a recognized technology entrepreneur who has started five new businesses in the last fifteen years, including co-founding both SeaWell and Chantry Networks. Chantry is a WLAN (WiFi) equipment provider, named one of Canada’s top 10 High Tech Stars in 2002 by the National Post and acquired by Siemens AG in January 2005. While with Siemens, Brian held the role of Senior VP, Business Development and established a new HD Video Conferencing Business Unit. Prior to Chantry, Brian co-founded the first Internet division at Nortel Networks and started their first VoIP business unit. Both of these divisions contributed significant revenue growth for Nortel. Brian has also held positions at Motorola’s Internet and Data Networking Group and started his career with Bell Canada.
Brian holds a B.Sc. in Honors Physics from the University of Waterloo and a M.Sc. in Systems Science from the University of Ottawa. He is in high demand in the tech community, where he spends time sharing his vision and experience with young and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Bob Myers
Founder, Chief Technology Officer and DirectorBob Myers serves on SeaWell’s Board of Directors and is the Founder and CTO, responsible for setting the company’s technology direction and promoting ongoing innovation.
Bob has extensive experience in launching new businesses, building and executing product strategies, managing M&A activities, and developing OEM relationships. He has defined successful high-revenue product strategies for dial access, IP-VPN, VoIP, wireless LANs and video conferencing portfolios. Along with Brian Collie, Bob co-founded Chantry Networks and served as CTO, pioneering the evolution of wireless LAN solutions. After the acquisition of Chantry by Siemens, Bob served as VP of Emerging Solutions at Siemens Enterprise. Bob also helped found several key new businesses at Nortel Networks including the first program to address VoIP for carriers and the first initiative to directly address the Internet Service Provider market. While with Nortel he held several senior positions in product management and architecture, leading product strategy efforts.
Bob holds a BSEE degree from the University of Waterloo. He holds a number of patents on networking technologies, and his work has garnered two “Best of Shows” awards at Network World/Interop.
Hervé Séguin
Chief Financial OfficerMr. Séguin is responsible for SeaWell’s financial and administrative affairs as well as being Corporate Secretary. Mr. Séguin is a bilingual seasoned executive with over eighteen years of CFO experience with software technology companies. Mr. Séguin has substantial experience in building technology companies, managing change, operational control and problem solving, investor relations, fund raising, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, strategic planning, M&A, and reorganizations/turnarounds to drive organizational effectiveness.
Mr. Séguin has been the CFO public companies WellPoint Systems (TSXV.WPS), Certicom Corp (TSX.CIC), Promis Systems (TSX.PSW) and Infocast Corporation (NYOTCBB).
During his tenure at these various companies, Mr. Séguin was a business partner to profitably grow the business operations, and successfully carried out several rounds of public and private financing. In doing so, Mr. Séguin developed a solid positive relationship with the investment community and developed a strong working relationship with senior management and Boards of Directors to foster a more effective and efficient board/management relationship.
Mr. Séguin is a Certified General Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant.
Jeff Huppertz
Senior Vice President, Business and Corporate DevelopmentJeff Huppertz is responsible for advancing strategic partnerships, cultivating key customer relationships, and creating strategies that expand SeaWell’s solutions globally. During a career spanning over 25 years in the cable and telecommunications industry, Jeff has held executive roles at leading companies including Motorola, Cisco’s Scientific-Atlanta division, Tellabs, Drake, and OpenTV. While at Motorola, Jeff initiated and led the successful $17B acquisition of General Instrument. He holds a degree in software engineering from University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Named a Cable TV Pioneer in 2011, Jeff is a long-time member of leading industry groups including SCTE, and currently serves as a member of CTAM’s Advisory Group.
Duncan Potter
Chief Marketing OfficerDuncan Potter heads up SeaWell Networks’ marketing and product management. Duncan has over 25 years of experience in the video and network industry specializing in building effective communications with customers, partners and sales organizations both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining SeaWell Networks, Duncan spent two and a half years as CMO at Edgeware AB where he was responsible for all company marketing strategy, program definition, product and brand strategy as well as Vice President, Operations responsible for support and training services, logistics and manufacturing. Duncan has served in a variety of marketing roles at Westcon Group, Extreme Networks, Cisco and 3Com.
Susan George
SVP Sales and DistributionSusan heads up SeaWell’s sales efforts, and is responsible for all aspects of product distribution.
Susan brings to SeaWell a wealth of experience in the online content delivery space. Prior to joining SeaWell, she was the regional vice president of cable sales at Verivue, Inc. She also served as regional vice president of cable sales at BigBand Networks, Inc., vice president of worldwide sales at Camiant, Inc., and vice president of ITV sales at SeaChange International Inc. Through Susan’s experience and knowledge of the content delivery space, she has become known as an industry expert, with a proven track record in opening new markets and sales opportunities.
Susan is a graduate of the executive MBA program at Babson College, and earned her BA in economics from Regis College.
Jeff Geiser
VP Business DevelopmentJeff is responsible for overseeing and evaluating strategic business opportunities and partnerships that support SeaWell Networks’ overall go-to-market strategy.
Jeff has over 15 years of business development and technology sales experience. Prior to joining SeaWell Networks, Jeff was the global Director of Business Development at Keynote Systems and was responsible for the overall strategy of the streaming media and voice-over-IP business units. Before joining Keynote Systems he worked for Akamai for five years and last served as the Director of the North American Technical Consulting organization. He has also held leadership positions with Covad, UUNET and CompuServe.
Jeff holds an MBA from Cox School of Business at SMU and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
Laurie Love
VP, International and Channel SalesLaurie is responsible for the development and execution of SeaWell Network’s international and channel partner sales. She brings more than twenty years of experience in sales and business development with particular emphasis on building sales teams and driving revenue growth through multi-national accounts, service providers, and the development of international channels.
Laurie joined SeaWell Network from Acme Packet where she was responsible for the Service Provider Channels. She also served as VP of Channel and Strategic Account Sales at Camiant, Inc. (acquired by Tekelec), VP of Sales at Avaya, Inc., VP of Sales at Lucent Technologies and held key domestic and international sales and marketing positions at Bay Networks, Wellfleet and SynOptics.
Laurie is a graduate of Cornell University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and attended The George Washington University for her Master’s degree in Telecommunications.
Gregg Marco
VP, North America Cable SalesGregg Marco is responsible for SeaWell’s sales efforts to cable companies in North America. Gregg oversees all aspects of SeaWell’s market development, cultivating customer partnerships and identifying opportunities for expanding SeaWell’s solution set to enable cable operators to maximize revenue potential for the delivery of adaptive bit rate video.
Gregg brings over 20 years of sales experience, leadership and business development to SeaWell Networks.
Through Gregg’s extensive sales experience and knowledge of the MSO industry, he has played a significant role establishing emerging companies and technologies as market leaders. Prior to SeaWell Networks, Gregg was a leading contributor to IneoQuest Technologies ascent as the market leader for Video Quality Assurance solutions. At BelAir Networks he helped to define the first wide area Wi-Fi products that were architected specifically for deployment in cable TV networks. Gregg was a member of the first cable sales team at Cisco Systems and has also held sales management and business development roles at Network Equipment Technologies, Calient Networks, Narad Networks and Vivato. He is a member of the SCTE, and is a Viet Nam era veteran.
Brian Stevenson
VP, Product ManagementBrian Stevenson is an industry veteran with over 20 years’ experience in content creation, broadcast and video delivery technologies. As Vice President of Product Management at SeaWell Networks he is responsible for defining the strategic roadmap and feature functionality for the SeaWell product suite.
Prior to joining SeaWell, Brian was Head of Product Management for Digital Rapids, where he had responsibility for all Content Creation, Post Production, Broadcast, IPTV and OTT product lines; he also spearheaded ExtendMedia’s (acquired by Cisco in 2010) digital content delivery strategy and was responsible for the creation and development of OpenCASE – an enterprise suite of products that manage the ingestion, packaging and distribution of DRM protected content and assets in the Broadband, Wireless and IPTV environments.
Ram Ranganathan
Director, DevelopmentRam leads the development team and is responsible for the design, development and quality assurance of SeaWell’s products.
Ram has over 10 years of experience in leading teams through the full product cycle from concept, architecture, design and development through quality assurance, pre-sales and customer on-site support. He joins SeaWell from Borderware Technologies, where he was Software Development Manager, Security Protocols and Proxies. Prior to Borderware, Ram served as Technical Lead, Infrastructure and Control Plane at Chantry Networks, a Siemens Company and started his development career at C-Plane Inc. in the Protocols and Adaptors Group, originally in Sunnyvale, CA and then in Montreal, Quebec.
Ram holds an M.S., Computer Engineering from the University of Kansas, a B.Eng in Electronics and Communications from Anna University, Madras, India and a Diploma in Software Technology and Systems Management from National Institute of Information Technology, Madras, India.
Michael Coulson
Director, MarketingMichael Coulson is Director of Marketing at SeaWell. Michael has extensive experience crafting online video strategies at companies such as Bell Canada (IPTV/FibeTV), ExtendMedia (purchased by Cisco), and Cineplex Entertainment (Canada’s largest movie chain).
An early online community / social media expert, Michael continues to be fascinated by the convergence of his twin paths of employment, and what may lay in store for social video.
Michael has an honours Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University and a Masters degree from the University of Glasgow.
